Subtracting Integers Model Match-Up
Students will match the subtraction expression with the model and the solution. I cut out and laminated for my students and had them work in groups of 2 or 3 during centers or station time. Key is included at the end of the document. Matches are already together, so I suggest cutting them out for the students. Great for VA SOL 7.3 (which will move to 6th grade next year) I am always looking to improve products, so feedback is greatly appreciated!

Adding and Subtracting Integers Models and Number Lines Activity
This activity is great for beginning to learn how to add and subtract integers. Included is a handout as well as slides for you to show how the modeling and number lines work. I will print out what I call the "activity mat" and laminate or put it in a sheet protector so students can draw on it with a dry erase marker. Then I pull up the slides and go through different problems with students and let them do the modeling as I am doing it on the board.
